  • Gossiping or Bad Work Environment 

A toxic work environment happens when teammates don’t respect each other’s opinions and even go to extreme lengths and start bullying one person or gossiping about them. You might start to see little groups form and divide the whole work team, which creates poor communication and unnecessary tension that will eventually affect the way you work towards a goal in common. There are some industries where the workload will naturally be heavier, and the rhythm at which the team must work is fast-paced. However, no one should forget all employees are also humans, humans who have a personal life, get tired, and need some rest. When your work starts taking parts of your personal life and even your rest time, it can become a serious challenge to overcome. An unbearable workload can cause burnout in you and your coworkers and make you want to leave that place for good.

Just because your pay is fair and everyone gets along doesn’t mean a team is motivated.
